DSP Records is an independent underground bass label based in British Columbia, Canada — built on artist-first development, real community values, and long-term momentum.
DSP Records exists to build long-term momentum for underground bass artists through consistent releases, real-world credibility, and an artist-first approach that prioritizes craft, community, and culture over hype.
DSP’s roots go back to the early 2010s as Dyrtie Sound Productions — a legitimate underground promotion and artist management company with real management agreements, booking contracts, and professional engagements. At its height, DSP managed a roster of five signed DJs.
DSP’s final nightclub production was New Year’s Eve 2013 (December 31, 2012) — after which the brand stepped away due to life obligations. No drama. No collapse. Just real life. The brand went quiet, but it never disappeared — it stayed under the surface, waiting. DSP Records is the continuation of that foundation, rebuilt with clearer structure and deeper intention.
DSP is built on the belief that scenes get stronger when artists lift each other up — not when ego, gatekeeping, and politics take over. This is a platform that intends to lead by example: collaboration over competition, transparency over drama, and culture protected through action.
DSP is rooted in Peace. Love. Unity. Respect. Not as aesthetic — as practice. PLUR should still mean something when the sun comes up. It should show up in how artists treat each other, how business is handled, how disagreements are resolved, and how opportunities are shared — even when it’s inconvenient.

Culture isn’t built by noise — it’s built by consistency. By how you move when there’s no spotlight. By how you treat people when the bass fades and the sun comes up.
Built systems. Long-term momentum. Real connection.
Always fresh. Still dirty.
